I've posted before and etc but now I have some new questions and etc.
I was thinking about getting a prepaid plan maybe.
I don't have a cell phone, never had.
I will be texting more than talking on the phone.

Verizon plans:

AT&T:
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-ph...?wtSlotClick=1-001SJX-0-1&WT.svl=calltoaction

I've talked to an AT&T person and she said I will have to pay $20 for unlimited text and then prepay with whichever plan I pick ( $1 a day and $.10/min or $.25/min ).

Sprint:

Here I was looking at the "Nextel Direct Connect® Custom Plan"

This plan includes:
Unlimited Direct Connect: Direct Connect and Group Connect
Unlimited Messaging: Text, pictures and video
Talk: Unlimited mobile to mobile, night calling and weekends starting at 9 p.m., nationwide long distance and no roaming charges.

0 Anytime Minutes $29.99 Monthly Price 40¢/min Additional Anytime Minutes

My friends are scattered all over, some have at&t, some have sprint, and some verizon..so it doesn't matter.
I just need the plan that provides best bang for the $ in terms of texting, etc.

Thank you very much.

see if there is a Cricket in your area. $40 a month unlimited talk and text w/no contract.

So can someone suggest me a plan or a good phone that doesn't require a contract?

Also, if I were going to do a Pay As You Go plan then I will only be able to use Go Phones or will I be able to use normal phones also?

That's horrible. Get TMobile Sidekick Prepaid instead. 1$/day, 0.15$/min for calling. Unlimited text.

That sounds better than most of the plans I've seen but that'll be like $30-$31 a month no matter what JUST for data.

AT&T offers unlimited text for $20/ month.

Att will give you unlimited texts for $20 when added to another plan, not alone. For no contract options, you might want to look into Boost Mobile. They have a plan that is unlimited everything, including minutes, for $50 a month.

I wish I could get a cricket phone.I would jump on that in a sec.I hardley go out of town and when I did.I would just buy a 30 dollar track phone to keep in the car.Until then.I will keep seeing verizon once a month.
