The number one killer of domestic pets (PETA) voiced concerns over the care and welfare of Google’s grass eating goats. Now that is funny, if PETA had its way, they'd come "take care of" those goats and you’ll never hear from them again. :eek:

PETA responded to a TechCrunch call about the goats saying that though they have no problem with letting goats do what they do, they do have concerns about how they were transported and whether they have enough shelter and water.

Google says it wants to take a "low carbon" approach to cutting the grass, but I am pretty sure 200 goats are going to make a load of gas over the course of the day.

PETA is just an attention whore. Goats are now living in a grassy field without any chores and PETA still has to bitch about it.

Personally, I think all the enviro-weenies and PETA people need to reduce their carbon footprint and abuse of animals for food by killing themselves. Reduce the load on mother Earth! Kill yourself today Gaia-lovers!
 
I stomped on an Anthill today, smashed an ant in our house today, and poured about 1 gallon of insect poison down a carpenter ant nest in my apple tree a few days ago...

Oh yeah.. and when I burned stuff on our burn pile the other day, I put a whole bunch of wood on it that had ants, spiders, roaches, snails, and slugs on it..

And.... we kill crickets in our shower almost every day.

And I eat pork, chicken, and beef!

I would be careful bragging about such acts, as in the end you will be held accountable for all your actions.

Yes, PETA can be obnoxious and occasionally hypocritical. They are still the #1 organization in the world looking out for animal welfare, I am thankful someone is taking the initiative.

I forgot to mention killing a bunch of wasps in my last post as well. PETA is welcome to all the wasps they can catch!

PETA tells Google what they are doing is good, and just checked to see if goats had ample water/ decent transportation.

Yes, PETA puts a lot of animals down. The sad fact is most of this country is too fucking stupid to get their pets spayed/neautred, and dump their mistakes out in the streets where PETA is forced into extreme circumstances.

If I was an animal forced to live in a cage, and was not able to live a free/natural life, I would wish to have a humane death, rather then suffer anymore at the hands of humans.

Saving animal means that. But apparently they are not here to save animal but instead save thier bottom lines ;)

PETA puts a lot of animal down is not correct. They KILL lots of animals because they can't get them adopted and since it cost money to keep each of those MOUTHS fed, shelted etc. OFF WITH THIER HEADS!! Wow PETA, way to go!!!


As for you being forced to live in a cage. You can, it is called jail. Might want to give it a try for about 3 years time. Might knock some sense into whatever little grey matter you have left after your stint there.

steve, just wanted to say thanks for this story. although not too meaningful it lead me to the whole debate over PETA that i didn't know beforehand - i live in canada and we don't hear too much from them surprisingly.

now i see PETA as the nazis of animal rights. can't find a place for them (what we have to try? bullshit) so might as well try to exterminate them all. just as the nazis referred to the jews as rats, peta trys to tell us that these animals are better off dead.

I don't have ANYTHING against proper care of animals (after all, people need to be good stewards of the things they are in charge of), but PETA takes it to the extreme. I love my pets, but if one turned on me or mine..........DEAD. Need to eat? Bam. Instant food.

Animals aren't people. Keep them on the right level.

Bwahaha it's not so much that we don't mind their efforts, it's just that they go to extreme means to make themselves still known more than they needed to. Especially when they've been maliciously trying to get people to drop eating meat. Fuck em.

And, and HardOCP editor is clearly a huge douche using the front page to bitch about his bias. Post your whines in the junk forum, not on the front page of a reputable tech site. Makes me question who I'm really getting my news from.
 
IMO they should just package and sell their dead pets, they're just slaughtering them for no reason otherwise.
