You can find them at the Dell Outlet. There are none currently shown in stock though.where can you get a refurb 3007 for $750? is that a "coupon" type of deal, or is that calling dell up and negotiating with a sales rep?
the outlet lists those for around 1k at least (with at least a 3 yr warranty)...
i wasn't aware one could be had for $750...any info is appreciated, thanks!

I've had a 3008 since January, play all kinds of FPS games and haven't noticed the slightest input lag. Lag exists, but whether you notice it is completely subjective. That sounds bizarre, but it's true. The only way to be absolutely certain is to try the monitor for yourself. IMO, the 3008 is a fantastic LCD for games and everything else. After doing a little more research myself, i see that the 3007WFP-HC has a wider color gamult as well as half the lag compared to the 305t. Inputs wise they are the same - only one DVI
Lag Comparison
According the site above, there is a considerable lag difference between the 3008 and the 3007. But, is this going to be noticeable in FPS games?
Talk about irony... I really wanted a 305T or 305T+, Omerta. The only reason I didn't get it was that I wanted more inputs than just the single DVI available on the 305. Other than that, I think the 305 is an excellent LCD.Yeah, Mr. Wolf, people blow this whole lag thing out of the water. I would rather get the 3008wfp over the 3007 simply because it is a BETTER monitor. The 3007 is a hideous monitor with very ugly anti glare coating. It also feels very cheap.
But I went with the 305t because it has better blacks and overall better uniformity than the other 30" IPS monitors, and it doesn't have the aggressive anti-glare coating that I loathe. I also notice no input lag. But if the 305t wasn't available, I would've went with the 3008wfp.
Yeah, I'd have to say $600 for that 305T with just 5 months left on the warranty is a much better deal. I thought the 305T had a 3-year warranty. So is $800 a bit much for a 7mo old used 305t? Is more like $600 a fair deal? He said its only a 1 year warranty
Nice to know my friend was wrong about the warranty. He may or may not take any less for the 305t, so if he's firm with $800 is it still a good deal? The 3008wfp is $1100 via dell outlet, but thats still a $300 difference.
One pro is that its guaranteed not to have any dead pixels (I checked it very thoroughly) and its in perfect mint condition.

Im with you on the anti-glare coating of the 3007. It is very noticeable. Unfortunately if looks like all 30" (not sure about Apple) use this coating. Apparently if doesnt bother some people. Not that noticeable with game playing. Glossy is really going to give you the best PQ since there is nothing blocking what is on the screen. Problem is that is is hard to find IPS or PVA/MVA glossy panels most of them are TN.
the 305t does not have that effect. it hardly has any kind of coating. It's the best looking 30" monitor IMO.
btw, apple 30" has aggressive coating too.
$800 for that 305T with 2+ years left on its warranty is reasonable.Nice to know my friend was wrong about the warranty. He may or may not take any less for the 305t, so if he's firm with $800 is it still a good deal? The 3008wfp is $1100 via dell outlet, but thats still a $300 difference.

I prefer the Dell - obviously since I've got one.How does the HP compare to the 3008wfp? Spec wise, the Dell seems much better than the HP and I can get the Dell for $1100....but in practice it may be a different story
