I'm guess the answer is no, but why not ask...

Can you use a USB drive to store the games and play from harddrive like you do with the X360 Harddrive? I don't mean play illegal games or no cd patches (which would be nice, though).

Nope you can't, the only thing you can do really is format the external to fat32 and use it for music, movies, porn.;)

But remember you can't go over 30gigs with fat32 so make multiple partitions.

yes you can i have a 120gb laptop drive formatted to fat32, all you need is a winxp pc and a program called swissknife.

the program doesnt like vista much

Yeah I know you can with software, I was just referring to what you can do with the windows partitioner. But you can't store games regardless.

Just confirming I did this too with a 40gb 2.5" hdd in an usb enclosure thing, watching movies with it.

Bah, lame... oh well. Thanks for the info anyway. I guess I'll just have to delete games as I beat them and load up the game being played most....

Why don't you just replace the one you have in there?? That's what I did. I threw a 320GB drive into my PS3. Oh wait...

j/k :D

Well... there are ways to upgrade to a 120GB hard drive, in the 360, WITHOUT using the official Microsoft hard drive. I probably can't say much more, but it is possible though.

Microsoft really should give the ability to upgrade your system to any HD you want, with the next 360 though. Not including the hardware reliability itself, it's one of the few flaws I hope they change at least for the next generation.
