I have a MacBook that I want to have connected to my TV (Westinghouse), but when I do, it looks terrible. I mean, my Xbox 360 looks great, and so does TV, but it looks horrible when using any computer. I've tried going through VGA, DVI, and HDMI. Same thing. Why is this happening?

Did you check that the TV is outputting in 720p? Maybe it's scaling it funny. To be honest, I wouldn't know what your problem is if the computer is detecting it at 720p and your TV is properly scaled to 720P.

The scaling is fine, nothing is stretched or anything. It just looks bad. I've tried calibrating it through the System Preferences, no difference. It is outputting at 720p.

Maybe try defining "looks bad". If everything is displaying correctly, are the colors off? Is there some funny scan line issue? I don't think I have the knowledge to help you any further, but maybe describing your problem a little more clearly and someone here will.

Okay, it has these weird scan lines where if the monitor is displaying a dark color you can literally "see" the pixels moving. And everything is grainy. Tried adjusting the TV settings (Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, etc.) and they don't help.
