Two Worlds

Voice-acting was cheesy. Didnt really care for the controls that much. Did have good character customization though. Just seemed to be extremely unpolished...lol the voice-acting...oh man...

Oblivion beats it hands down...havent played The Witcher but I think its going to be my next purchase.

Really really unpolished and just didn't have a "hook" factor for me, nothing in the game hooked me. Stopped playing it after about 5 hours.

That game has gotten some of the worst reviews. Ever. Reminded me of PS2 Graphics. 6.8 - 7.2 ratings.

Would it be worth it for $25? That's what BB has it for because of Black Friday? Or should I just wait for the bargain bin?

Save the $25 and get something else...dont make the same mistake I made...

Yeaaa.....I learned to use the Search tool...hehe.

Was browsing at Wally World the other day, saw this game for $19.95. I hadnt read anything about it so I put it back and came here.

So, whats so unpolished about the game? Why such low ratings? Is this a game trying to be an "Oblivion" copy or something but on a low budget?

Anything good about the game?

It's an alright game, had a lot of potential but like what the others said it was unpolished. Combat is clunky but can be fun, some of the spells are rather cool as well.

Two Worlds: Temptation should be a lot better, as Southpeak learned from their mistakes with the original and are building up to make it much better. At least that's what a rep told me at PAX.

I played it on the X360. Wasn't as bad as I expected and the voice acting is terrible to the point of it being a much needed comedic relief. I would definitely classify it as a low-budget Oblivion and it showed; mounted controls are almost completely broken, animations are incredibly jerky, and the framerate a little unstable, even froze a few times on me. I had fun though, exploring was just as fun here as it was in Oblivion.

Definitely a cheap Oblivion knockoff. I bought the game on Steam when they had it for $5 though.

All in all, I'd buy it again for $5, nothing more though. I don't know why but I just played and played. Got to the final boss and couldn't even budge his life though so I just quit.

I grabbed it when it was $9.99 on steam and at that price it's worth it. But, it got boring really quick and i haven't had the desire to finish it.

Wait for it to go on sale on Steam for $5 again.

I wonder when that will be? I wish Steam would just keep those low prices going instead of having a time limit, Im always missing the deals they have.

I bought it for PC. I didn't think it was terrible. The graphics were pretty good when maxed out and the combat was fun. Lots of armor and weapons to play with. The world was large and had varied enviroments. The voice acting was absolutely terrible, but if you could look past it, it wasn't a horrible game. It's worth $10 IMO.

The voice acting in this game is the **WORST** voice acting I have ever heard in anything. At first I thought I could just ignore it, but it was so bad that I was actually embarassed to be playing the game.

I think I saw this really cheap somewhere.... BigLots? (BigLols....). Seriously, they sometimes have some good titles for $6. That one may have been there....

I played it for about 5 minutes before I uninstalled it. I was way unimpressed (though TBH I didn't really give it a chance)

Yeah, I doubt anyone can really form an opinion after playing a game for only 5 minutes. :p

Bought it for $5, if you can get it for 5-10, it's worth it... decent, but definitely not Oblivion type game.

It tried to be a much more old-style RPG, but with some newer type elements... but yeah, voice acting was definitely an all-time low... not only because the acting was bad, but they tried to use old english... "Hark, I proclaim that verily ye must act quickly!" "Halt! Where art thou moving to?"

Stuff like that.

I only played the game a few hours. I coudn't seem to get past the clunky combat system and annoying voice acting, I only spent 10$ on it though. I did like the opening music however. I should really find out who did it.

This is one thing that always bothered me.....How THE hell do people of today know people talked like this back in the day, much less, how they sounded when they did talk. Its always annoyed me to hear people "trying" to talk this way. Even at the Ren. Fest that goes around....people start talkin to me like that...makes me want to slap them upside the head, lol.

Whats so wrong with "Yo, mutherfuker, stop right there or I'll cap your ass"....haha.....

Anyone played this? How is it compared to Oblivion or The Witcher?

Get The Witcher. Patch to the Enhanced Edition (or buy it). And you'll never look back. I bought The Witcher for $20 at a used game shop: Game Xchange. One of the best $20 I've spent in a long time. She sheer number of hours I've played so far make it worth it, and I'm not even halfway there.

Old texts and writings were written like that for many centuries. Ever read original Shakespeare? Beowulf?

It’s actually a really fun, addictive game if you approach it the right way. Stop thinking of it as an Oblivion clone. Do not play this game for the story or the voice acting. The game is basically a mix of Diablo and an offline MMORPG. I really enjoyed the skill system and the loot.

One really cool thing in the game is the way you can combine gear. When you have two identical swords, you can combine them and it the sword goes up in stats. You can keep doing this over and over. It’s kind of imbalanced, but really, who gives a shit? It’s fun and that’s all that matters...

Anyway if you can find it for 5~20 dollars then it’s worth it. I think I played for about 40 hours before I got bored. I didn’t even bother beating the game but I still had a lot of fun... Definitely worth the $10 I paid on Steam.

I agree with ChadVader, for the cheap price I got it for, it was worth the probably at least 20 hours I put into it. Then again, I have always had a tendency for RPG's, so I probably was more forgiving with this game than others might have been. Plus I think I had more time back when I played this game, hehe.
