Well a quick back story, I bought a 3G iPhone after upgrading from the EDGE iPhone, but after a few weeks I really was getting upset, mad, pissed with the phone to the point I was going to just put it on eBay. Then I realized I was still under my 30 days with AT&T and Apple and could return it and get a full refund and still get another phone with a lower price.
Well I knew the HTC Touch Pro had just launched with AT&T (Fuze) on AT&T's website, and I began calling all stores in my town trying to find one. Well I got lucky and spend an evening returning my iPhone and getting the Touch Pro. Before I go on, personal opinion, but I am really glad I traded in the iPhone.
After I got the phone and drove to my office I was eager to get online and setting up the phone, but hit a rather large wall. The phone would not connect through the 3G network in any program, so the phone call to tech support began. To make a long story short, after two hours and trouble shooting we were able to get the phone online. Also, apparently the phone is not suppose to launch or be sold from AT&T until the 22nd of November which is one reason why it took two hours to resolve the issue. No one in AT&T had a clue what phone I had, how to troubleshoot it, or how I got the phone. Though it seems we just did a troubleshoot as if it were a Tilt and that got everything working.
I have only had this phone for a day, but so far things have been looking very solid so far. I love the keyboard, the screen looks very nice and clean. A bit unresponsive at times, have to press a bit firm with either my finger or the stylus. I am still learning the ins and outs of this phone and how things operate, but coming from the iPhone I will say something. This phone has so many options, the iPhone you could change somethings and I even jailbroke my phones, but the Touch Pro (WinMo 6.1) has so many options and features to change I am actually reading through the manual (~290 pages) and the tips/tricks help guides. The phone is a thicker than the iPhone, but while it does add some size, it feels great in my hands and I have very long/skinny fingers. Something I have not gotten to work yet is the Bluetooth, I cannot get my headset to connect. I have the phone search for Bluetooth but it never finds anything, but I will worry about this tonight when I get home and read through some things on my headset and see if I need to do anything with it specifically.
If anyone has any questions, comments, want a picture of a specific thing with the phone, let me know and I will do my best to answer quickly.
Well now that you know my short story and enjoyed it hopefully, here is the phone and box contents. Sorry for the sub-par photos, they were taken with a co-workers iPhone.
