Where can I find one? PPC has the AC'97, but nothing for Intel HD. While I'm at it, an cable for the front panel connections would be nice, too.

PPCs' "USB 10-Pin Internal Header Extension Cable" will work fine for AC97, HD Audio, and front-panel connections. If it doesn't fit exactly you can remove pins as needed. I have two (in series) extending the HD Audio connection from my X-Fi. I another two (in parallel this time) extending my motherboard's front-panel connections, pins removed and rearranged so it connects only what's there.

Ironically, the thing it doesn't work well for is USB. I used to have some extending my motherboard's USB ports, but the ports were unusable. A plugged-in device might work or it might not. If it worked it probably wouldn't stay working. I'm sure it's because the cables are unshielded.

How hard is it to manipulate the pins. I can match positions if it isn't too difficult to pop them in/out.

Not hard. To remove one, take a pointy object (I use the corner of a razor blade) to slightly lift the plastic "finger" on the side of the connector, and then simply pull the wire out. To insert one, push it in until the "finger" clicks into place.

Ahhh. I see it. Sad thing is, I only need about 3 more inches (says my wife, too) :D Thanks, I'll get this going.
