Worth replacing the heatsink?

If your current cooler is working fine then why would you want to replace it? If you just want to spent money and replace then do it.

there is a question of quality in the cooler he currently has. but i doubt it's worth it really.

If it's keeping your CPU cool, then don't bother. I see you are only running at 3GHz and I've heard people can sometimes even do it with the stock cooler!

Unless you want to raise you're overclock and are limited by your temps, there's no real reason to get a better cooler.

I ran my Q6600 with the stock cooler for a few months and all was well. Anything at all will be an improvement over it though, so i say stick with what you have if it works.

Thanks for all your input!

I went ahead and replaced it anyway and my temps dropped a few degrees so i've satisfied my curiousity.:D

Installation of the thermalright heatsink was a lot easier than the coolink one, just in case anyone considers buying it!
