How do I unlock my case?

I need to dust the inside of my computer and the case lock magically locked itself last time I opened the panel. Now I'm unable to open the case as I don't have the keys.. How do I get in?

Hard to say without seeing the case, but tool-wise, I think a sawzall would work the best. If it's an olde Kryptonite style cylindrical key lock, then you might be able to pull off the ball point pen trick that caused Kryptonite to move away from the cylindrical key...

depending on the lock, just drill it out with a good size drill, i had to do the same thing before

um... alright, all helpful comments, but here's perhaps the easiest... go to a local computer store and ask for a set of keys for your case. Odds are that they have a box of 'em somewhere out back and afaik EVERY case uses the same key for the same style lock.

go to a locksmith and ask for a key. They are probably the same because my friends prs guitar came shipped locked and the key was on the inside. So he brought it to the locksmith and they had like on kind for a guitar case.

Wasn't aim to get rid of lock, not just make small holes?
So maybe more directed lockpick might be in order.

they probably will already have a premade key just for the occasion or the type of lock you have

And as far as I remember... it doesn't really matter how many zeros you have, as long as you have... 6 or so.


In either case... the guy found his key, so it doesn't matter now.
