Feedback on the updates

Showing how long members have been here is a nice touch too.

yeah! i like them both plus the number of users online is showing up in the bottom again. :D

I am having a change-of-heart here:

It is so honorable how you have addressed the most annoying feature of HardOCP that made me start all of this "forum improvement" stride after I got suspended due to this feature in the first place. It had to do with the titles awarded out to members depending upon how many posts they have.

I was starting to think that this forum was just very lucky to have gotten this popular, having been around since 1998, YET not allowing more smiley faces, avatars, uploaded files, and readable signatures. As I was moving up the Gawd titles, which was kind of a fun challenge, it became apparent to me that this alone (without showing the # of posts) had a LOT to do with how this forum had remained so popular desipte those "limited features".

By adding the user's length of membership, it does take a lot of attention away from this "mini-game" of title-climbing.

For the first time, I now truly appreciate the integrity of the forums you have always aimed for while maintaining a sense of humor like with those gawd titles. And I am sure most others fully appreciate it also. Thank you Kyle for your patience and understanding which goes a long way with the creativity and uniqueness of this forum.

Steve aka Property of HardOCP has been a forum member for 38.2 years. Impressive!

I'm kind of upset at the fact that I can no longer post in the for sale/trade thread and I could yesterday.

I've got a whole list of items up and a long time member to back me, so here I go to bump my thread and it says I can no longer post because I have less than 50 posts on the forums.

Glad to see them back :)

Now, reinstate the no-n00bs rule in the FS/FT and weed off trolls.

EDIT : Seems it's alse reinstated already by reading the post above.

That is correct. You can use PM still. 50 posts required.

Yes, 50 posts req to post in FSFT, Hot Deals, and Free Stuff forums.

I really like the changes. 50 posts before you can post in the FS/FT thread is a really good idea.

Its also nice to see how long people have been on the forums not just how many posts they have. Some people talk alot of crap and their post count reflects this.
