Nvidia 9800 GX2 March 11 ?

Lol the 9800gx2 should not even be made, just jump to the 9800gtx, which will be a sick card. The 9800gx2 has horrible SLI drivers and major heat problems. It will be the hottest card to ever hit the market. 9800gx2 shouldnt be made. You think nVidia would have learned from their mistakes with the 7950gx2 and went with 2 GPUs on 1 PCB.

nVidia is in trouble. ATI is on the move with, better designs and are being innovators in the industry. nVidia is going with brute force. Their SLI drivers have gone downhill, even though they were never uphill.

nVidia is going to be in financial trouble the way they're going. If this keeps up, they might not have enough money to pay Kyle off for his nVidia bias reviews. Its funny Kyle should take a peak at how many forums think his reviews are completely nVidia bias. You are not the review king, so get off your high horse.

I think you are correct on the first point. However points 2 and 3 are way off base. I think AMD is definitely on the move but its not upwards. And its not hard to have positive nvidia reviews when the cards are better. Its a shame I wish AMD could bring back their 9800pro magic.

Anyway...

I dunno I hope the 9xxx series cards are total upgrades from these 8800's. I want to upgrade! ;)

I heart bewbz ATI rulez

It's has better logic and science

hoepfully they get sli scaling more optimized wit this card than normal sli otherwise this could end up quite a flop

Wow a drooling fanboy and troll! Don't see too many genuine trolls anymore.

SLI and Crossfire are fun to bench with but............Not a fan of this yet.I prefer one single card with brute force or maybe just one pcb with multi cores:D.Looking forward to launch of this product, the delay is not a good thing.

Edit:Nice post 9mm.

well i have to say my hat is off to kyle..... aparently people think so much of what he has to say they discuss him around the web... dude your famous you should keep signed headshots on you to hand out... to think one man's opinion is not only loved/hated but actually noticed on the world wide web congrats man congrats

I don't expect the the 9800GX2 to be much more stable than the 7950GX2... I bet it will be on market for less than 6 months, like tri-sli and all other nvidia marketing craps.

lemmie guess, you think tri-SLi is "marketing crap" but you think crossfireX is hawt?

This card is only going to be around for a few months but only because nvidia 'should' have a better card out in a few months after this.

Funny, I clearly remember him praising the 9800pro, x800, x1800, etc., and busting the 5800 Ultra "vacuum cleaner" cards.

Mayhaps you should stop swinging from his testicles?

The best part is he got the response out of us he wanted...but hes still a doucheball troll and we should probably stop feeding him.

I personally don't want this card. The 7950 didn't do to well and still has the most problems with compatibility. I play a huge range of games. Both really old and really new. It's really important for me to have a stable card.

I'm not saying that the 9800GX2 isn't going to be stable. I'm just looking at what happened in the past and finding it hard to see things differently.

I don't normally come out and say things like this but your a fucking idiot. The 9800GX2 will be a new flagship offering and the 9800GTX will be under neath it in the lineup. The 7950GX2 had horrible drivers but that doesn't mean that the 9800GX2 will automatically be the same way. From a design perspective two GPUs one two PCB's wasn't the problem with the 7950GX2. It was shit drivers and nothing else.

NVIDIA being in trouble? Don't make me fucking laugh. They are far from in trouble as they have ruled the market virtually unchanllenged for over a year. They execute product launches correctly and have brought excellent products to just about every price point.

As for ATI having a more elegant approach again I must point out that you don't know what you are talking about. The current ATI GPU is far less efficient than the NVIDIA GPU. This is evidenced by the clock speeds required to make the ATI GPU even remotely competitive. Lower clocks and higher performance make the NVIDIA GPU more efficient and more elegant. Currently the drivers are pretty good all around so I don't know where you come up with that bullshit. As for SLI drivers never having been "uphill" again you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. I've been using SLI without major issues since they introduced the 6800Ultra PCI-Express cards. SLI isn't perfect but nothing is perfect in this business.

Some people should keep to themselves and stop blasting out information that is not true as or in this case more one sided. Unless you have clear evidence backing up your statements you need to just shut the hell up.
