Headphones plug into speaker bypass?

I have the Promedia 2.1 and it has a headphone input on the right speaker. Is there going to be a difference in SQ if I plug my headphones to that jack instead of plugging straight in to my sound card(which would be a pain in the ass as much as I switch between speakers/headphones).

That's one of those things where you'll just hae to try it and see. There will be a SQ difference simply because you are introducing more connections. Whether you can tell the difference depends on how sensitive and picky you are.
