Has hell finally frozen over? George Broussard says that a teaser trailer is due tomorrow and a single screenshot from the trailer was posted in the 3DRealms forums as well:

It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever. After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it's just a teaser, rest assured more is coming. Tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th, around noon CST, we will release the first teaser trailer from Duke Nukem Forever. To tide you over until then, here is a screen shot taken from the teaser.

Holy SHIT!! That is big news, I thought for sure this running joke would last nearly forever.
 
I was just telling our weekend news guy Tim that this had BETTER not be some FMV / GC cut-scene crap video either...we want in-game footage!!!
 
Meaningless screen shots and videos. Wake me when they release an actual game.

Until they ship a final game I still consider this a running episode.

They do this every now and then. I think it just lets people know that 3D Realms is still around.

A trailer doesn't mean anything. We got a DNF trailer back in 1998 and another one in 2001. This will be the third trailer, and it wouldn't surprise me if we see more of them.

at first I was like "WTF?" how did they get a picture of me?, then I saw the cigar and realised it wasnt me because I don't smoke.

Best buy actually has a preorder and yes, even a release date. I would take this information with a grain of salt like any other thing you read on the internet. But, hey at least best buy got me a BFG 8800gt for msrp which is definitely earns them a few point's in my book.

Dude... fucking epic. Everyone should be happy about this, George has clearly said in the past that the day they start releasing pictures/videos is the day they are less than 6 months nearing release :eek:
 
This has been a 10 year marketing campaign.. People will buy it for the "holy shit" factor..

But.. Since Prey came out and was cool...

Maybe 3DRealms got jealous of Valve releasing Team Fortress 2 after almost a decade, so they're finally deciding to do something about retaining their Guinness World Record for longest game in development to actually be completed? I was rather hoping to immortalize the legend of DNF becoming a reality into one of my unused memory registers, relegating it to a figment of my imagination that exists in an alternate dimension...only to appear once every millenium.

After just splooging on myself, I came to my senses and logged into the forums. Now this game I am buying no matter what. Duke Nukem is why I play first person shooter. It was my first FPS ever. I have noooo problem being a fanboy with this game. However if it does suck, Imma still play it to the end but I sure as hell won't defend it.

3d Realms you already have my heart, here's my money too, ahead of time.
