Read the report on [H] and other sites went to OCZs website and nothing...... So basically OCZ is telling us its come up with a product but theres no product to show or test, is there a release date has anyone heard anything? Kinda thinking this is ones of the stupidest press releases I'v seen on so many tech sites in a while.

Oh and by the way, I created a flying car that runs on popcorn. The release date is unknown but my engineers are telling me I'm getting around 30miles per kernel.

Thermal Resistance: 0.032 degrees C/W
Dielectric Constant@ 1KHz: 10.0
Specific Gravity: 3.5g / cm3
Viscosity: 777,800
Thermal Conductivity: 3.8 Watts / Meter -oC

so.... how dose it measure up to AS/5 AS/c and good ol thermal greese???

they compare the 10% drop the their own OCZ Ultra 5+ thermal compound, which as i understand it is just repackaged Arctic Silver 5 compound (reference cited here)......so if that is true, a 10% drop from AS5 would be pretty significant when you consider just a few degrees celsius difference from one HSF to another can make a significant difference in highest stable overclock

i cant find anywhere to buy it or even any reviews on it yet....if i could find a place to buy it i would do my own review here comparing it to Arctic Silver Ceramique under my Ninja Scythe (because this is what I have and i dont want to buy a tube of AS5 if i am buying a tube of OCZ Freeze...) ;)

whoa!! i was preordering it from their US site and the cheapest shipping option is $13.21 USD for a $5.48 USD item..!!!

i dunno about that....i'd gladly take a $5 UPS or $3 USPS option.....i thought i was looking at their Canadian site at first when i saw the shipping price....$13.21 to ship a $5.48 item is just robbery man...i understand cost averaging, but $13.21 !!! thats with no insurance or anything, the cheapest, slowest option.....

NCIXUS aint gettin my money man....to hell with that.....i emailed OCZ's sales office to find out where else i can buy it...

That shipping was probably because they are listing it as special order.

Still sux tho...

do they do the google checkout -$10 off still?

if it was special order they should increase product pricing, not shipping....

$18.69 is too much for this when only $5.48 is the product.....and to answer my own question...no google checkout option

i also think its dirty the way it automatically chooses the highest cost shipping and highest additional insurance by default.....i really am not impressed with NCIXUS at all....gonna wait for a vendor with better ethics to get it in their system

Ah well. You guys got Newegg/ZZF/ClubIT/Perf-PCs/SVC/Petras/Jab-tech. Count yourselves lucky.

All I got is NCIX, but granted, its only about 10 minutes away by car.

post your results when you pick this stuff up, I'm mostly worried about how fast thist stuff might dry up since it's new.

u_u

I still have a 3.5g tube of AS5. The plunger still has a good 1.5cm to go. Of course, I don't mind if you pay for it...

And throw in a Scythe Slipstream.

I'd like to see it compared to MX-2.

Me 2 - I have found MX-2 and even the Zalman - nail polish style stuff to outperform AS5 by a minimum of 2 degrees in every single application I've tried. Also, you don't have to worry about any conductivity issues.

AS5 is old school.

10% lower than ultra 5+? im getting 22deg celcius with ultra 5+ so i would drop like 2 degrees or something? not bad.

I found this guide on another forum. Artic silver 5, while still good, is by far not the best.

I just purchased some MX-2 myself.

It's "10%" better than the competition. This doesn't mean that it will lower your temperatures by 10%.

Infact, 10% of the tiny amount of thermal conductivity that these pastes have, isn't very much.

If it is that important to drop 2 degrees, then I think TIM is the last thing you should be worried about. Get a good cooler and give yourself 10-15C more leeway.

can coollaboratory liquid pro be used with the thermalright ultra-120 extreme

where could i buy some shin-etsu microSi mpu-3.7 and could that be used with the thermalright ultra-120 extreme

Get some MX-2 for your U120E - that's what I did and am VERY happy with it.

However, that liquid metal stuff gets the nerd in me real fired up. What's with the 48hr cure time? Is it best to apply, attach heatsink, (all keeping mobo horizontal) and then flip up case and power on? After 2 days?

yeah i actually forgot to add or should i just get some mx-2 in my last post its cheaper too $12 shipped on newegg thanks

it says it drops temps 10% compared to their own Ultra 5+ which is simply AS5 with a different name on the tube.....10% is still 10%

already have a Ninja Scythe, any other coolers wont make much difference for me, definitely wont be worth spending $65 for.....but i'd spend a few bucks to get 10% better temps, assuming thats what actually happens....

I swear I saw a vendor(cant recall where now) that had some liquid metal in pad form, you get a sheet that is good for a few applications. To me that would be the safest route to go with this stuff.

here we go http://www.xoxide.com/cool-laboratory-liquidmetal-pad.html $13

So I take it nobody has picked up any of this stuff yet?

if you look around you will find pretty negative reviews on the metal pads its different from the liquid pro but yes much safer

Wow that sucks..... Arctic Silver gets back to you within a day or two, anyword?

nope, still no reply, been quite a while now.....guess i just am not important, i mean, lets face it, i am a single user wanting a $5 tube of thermal paste....not exactly big news or priority, i get it, but i usually dont get completely blown off by companies when i email them

Single $5 purchases can make or break a company so they should listen or get back to you eventually. Just food for though I mean look at Artic Silver their whole business is based around $5-10 tubes haha
