Before anything I want to mention that I’m a super n00b so take it easy on me

I knew that the 8 series cards from Nvidia are generally have high temperature cuz of 2 reasons:
1- The card fan runs just at 60% of its speed and that’s the factory default for these cards (to lower the noise)
2- The disperser (I don’t know what you folks call it but it’s that other cooling devise in the card) sucks the air efficiently but the problem is when it throw it out and that will even make the processor and mobo temperatures higher

We can solve the first problem by increasing the fan speed by using some software like Riva Tuner
To solve the second problem it can be solved by using something like PCI Slot Case Cooler (a small fan in the mobo PCI slot)
Like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999704
and this should be better than replacing the cards disperser with other one like (THERMALLIGHT HR-03)

and there is another way by using three 80cm fans and place them so 2 will do the PCI Slot Case Cooler job and the thered will bring the air to the card

but I dout that these solutions would be better than using thermaltake (with fan)

The question now is….. have I said anything right?

just to keep it all in 1 thread

WHY PEOPLE ALWAYS SAY THAT Q6600 is better than E6850?!!!!!
these pictures doesn't say that

Where can I find some list or chart or anything about the Intel penryn 45nm processors? And what equals them now (core 2 duo,2 extreme, quad core,…etc)

Is it right that my previous question is a classic stupid question? And why would the next version from my previous question will be:
Should I buy the Dual E8500 or the quad Q9300?
Is the simple answer that more cores will be better in future not now cuz most of the programs and games doesn’t support more than core at this time?
thnx

The temps can be effected by a number of things: Insufficient air being pulled into the case, room temp, case exaust is located near the video cards intake, overclocking.

Depends on what you will be doing with the computer, If i was gaming, i would take the 6850, if i was compiling video, i would take the quad.
