How to overclock my 8800gts

I have never overclocked before, and i wanna overclock my 8800gts 640 mg. Theres this program that came with my mobo that can overclock it but should i trust it ?

i don't recommend nTune. read up a little on (if you're not already familiar with) RivaTuner and ATI Tool and use them. I used Rivatuner to set my clocks, and ATI Tool to artifact test via the 'fuzzy cube' test. These cards gain a whole nother gear when overclocked.

I jsut started overclocking my 8800GTS and it was my first time to do any GPU and it isn't hard it jsut takes time. I just used ATItool and it is working great.. just remember to go slowly and make sure you test it good.

stay away from ntune as you can f it up if not careful.

I use rivatuner personally and have tried ati tool but keep using rivatuner as it works fine.

Unless you are using a 64 bit version of vista those are excellent choices.

IIRC, this doesn't work with the 8 series cards and drivers by default, but I think there is a way around it.
