Hmm, maybe this is the announcement that I read was coming...? :shrug:
 
Probably to do with their black edition or whatever those are called processors that are starting to peek out in stores.
 
I think it's something else also, hence the snake.

I doubt its anything big, common, how many people work for AMD? if it is really HUGE and groundbreaking...It would have been talked about before now
 
If I had to guess I'd say it was video card related somehow. Sheerly because of the red imagery.

Also, looking at the bottom of the page source I see this:

"http://apps.ati.com/includes/hbx.js"

a javascript on the ati server.

They did a pretty good job with the Tri-core, it was only leaked a couple days before the anouncement.

But that being said I would guess it is the 2900Pro/GT launch

Possibly. Maybe they have a new line of 'Black' video cards? I honestly have no idea.

Man, AMD has really been keeping things under wraps this year, it's not funny.
 
Yeah so I guess it must be the 2900pro/gt launch then. I expect [H]ard already has a review of the 2 lined up for next week.

With the way AMD is oh so secretive about product information who knows.They have been taking the exact opposite stance of Intel and going mums the word with near everything now days.

This if anything seems right up thier alley.Announce out of the blue,and spring it on a unsuspecting enthusiast communtiy.

I just thought it'd make for a cool topic,as it looks to be something neat,and hopefully a early Agena FX,etc,announcement (me hopes) :)

Intel just demonstrated a Skulltrail system at IDF that was adorned with human skulls. So it appears that Intel is obsessed with the dead and AMD is trying to convince me to fear their dark side. I know ours is a society obsessed with fear but do we have to extend that into the semiconductor business as well?
 
I just went to dowload the latest catalyst drivers and the catalyst site is the same red and black pattern as the secret to be revealed page. Maybe catalyst 8.0?

Waste of money. 15$ at your local super market and a quick grilling will produce much better burgers. Not to mention you can easily get 5 burgers out of that, probably more. I'd love to see RR sell their "quality" burgers for 3$ or less a meal.

I think people these days are too lazy to bother actually cooking for themselves. I suppose most are used to those fast food cardboard rounds as well; don't even know what quality food is any more.

Back On Topic: Unless those drivers 'roid up the 2900 to Ultra smacking levels, it better not just be a new set of drivers.
