Okay, so I just mounted the backplate on the bottom of my motherboard, and I am now ready to install my Tuniq Tower onto the processor. However, the instructions that came with the HSF were horrible and do not make sense. Could somebody please tell how to mount the HSF on the chip after applying the thermal compound? Do I just guess and put it down as accurate as I can, or is there a more professional way to do it?

Assuming you're using the 775 socket:

When you mount the bracket on the back, make sure all 4 holes are aligned with the motherboard. If it's not totally centered, it's not a problem, the mobo holes are pretty big to give you a little room. Next step, you have to insert this plate that'll go across the bottom heatsink which will then connect to the backplate by 4 screws.

It's hard to explain, if you read the manual, it should provide you enough pictures to get it right.

The hole in the middle of the bracket that will sit between the heatpipes on the Tuniq will center the HSF correctly.

Once the HSF is on the chip, try to get it centered. Insert the bracket between the heatpipes. There is a little piece of copper that will fit into the hole in the very middle of the bracket. This will completely center the HSF on the chip. It will only fit one way so this takes care of orientation.

Once it's centered, then tighten down the screws and you're done

So it doesn't really matter if the fan moves a little bit while it try to tighten the screws down?

Doubt it matters much as long as you don't move it after a few heatcycles. Mine can twist a little bit on the motherboard if I apply a decent pressure. Once you use it for a while (the thermal paste settles), then don't move it.

For the Tuniq there are two connections.. one with three pins and one with two... i dont know where to connect the one with two pins...

Mine only had the one connector.
As for the screws, just how tight should they be?
