just got it and, i have a D975xBX2 intel motherbored

so i instaled it in the mobo and it boots up fine, but i can see it jumps from 2130.0 mhz to 1600.o mhz and the multiplyer goes from x8 to x6 back and forth, someone said in a forum about turning EIST and i didn and still still doing that

someone PLEASE help me

thanks

LOL, no worries! Jumping between 6x and 8x is perfectly normal with EIST running. This is a good thing at stock speeds. Are you overclocking?

You need to disable EIST as well as C1E in the bios. Both of these can cause the multiplier to cycle down to 6 at idle.
