• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

I'm in the market for a compact, low power, quiet system which will enable me to access internet/LAN securely from any location. It will be between my home cable modem and my router/switches.

I would have searched but it seems the forums lost the capability?

Anyways, I intend to be travelling to places where they will be monitoring my activity for content which the government does not want it's citizens to access. I want at least a secure point which I can accessing without too much heat.

Looking for:
-Good firewalling
-24/7 uptime
-FTP/Web/File access
-some type of SSH server capability or encryption over the internet (still pretty new to the idea)
-webtorrent client?
-maybe some tinkering with asterisk in the future? (want to try capi callback)

If anyone has seen the chilibox, ( http://www.chilisystems.com/index.jsp?nPage=1 ), I basically want that but I want to build it myself and be able to manage it myself.

I don't care if I have to learn to do stuff in linux or any other OS.

Looked at the EPIA line but there are so many! Is there anything close with dual gigabit?

Thanks for reading! :)
