Some Logitech G15 quirks...

I just reformatted for the new motherboard and am running MCE 2005 now (was running plain XP before. ) and now the back light switch doesnt work. i physically checked, and everything is fine. the mute button, which is directly beside it works great though...

Anyone else have similar problems? Ive tried all driver sets from 1.01 to 1.04

Call up logitech, if it doesnt light up theres not much you can do. Unless you wanna rip it apart...

no the light won't turn off when i press the button, the key backlight is 100% unadjustable at the moment. button is fine. I checked the traces, and theres nothing visibly wrong with them... I took care with disassembly, and the mute button, RIGHT beside it works...

I can adjust the LCD brightness through the control panel... but the keys still stay lit >_<
 
Save me Jebus? :( This is annoying... sorry for the bumps but its hard to sleep with this damn thing :p
 
just fold the big LCD over when your not using it, The blue LEDs dont put off that much light, should fix the problem just fine.

Its not a light thing, its a psychological thing, why isnt it working :p fricking keyboard... playing mind games with me >_<
 
This is gonna sound stupid, but did you install the drivers?

Does the keyboard stay off until the loading screen comes up?
Contact logitech and get a new one..
 
Mine does the same, thats when the drivers are loaded up then the lights come on. Sounds like there is something wrong with the keyboard, if possible try another on your computer.

Its more liveable than you think... I do the same :)

Grabbed latest drivers from Logitech? Not sure if the drivers that come with the KB are MCE compatible, although they should be.

I'm pretty sure the lights are controlled by the drivers. I CBF restarting my machine and trying the lights out :D
