I got the standard edition a while from a different ASP promotion. The software comes on 2 CDs and a DVD for the MSDN library. I signed up for another one.
 
I did the sessions yesterday, still waiting for an e-mail to continue. If anyone else gets it finished let us know.
 
Free is nice. I was going to use my wife's academic creds to get the discounted version but $0 plus s/h is better. :)
 
just finished.. i'll probably use the click once in a month or so, and the word-doc-from-sql will probably remove half our secretary's work in one swoop. *shrug*

awesome, thanks! I did my two webcasts today - took a few hours and I learned some basics. Ironically enough, I stumbled across this site just after opening Sams Teach Yourself Visual Studio .NET 2003 in 21 Days.

It's easier on the web ;)
 
Is there any sign of them doing this for C# seminars? We're not using VB here...
 
Got my copy last week. :) I'm getting a lot of stuff from Microsoft lately. Vista, Office 2007, Visual Studio.

As for the C# stuff, Visual Studio 2005 comes with C# as well. Just no webcasts on it.
 
I got it today. It came in a plastic box, like the one inside a retail package. Not for resale is printed on the cover. 5 CDs. I was kind of hoping for DVDs. I'll probably give me nephew the other copy.

turns out this guy was from MS and was trying to pimp enterprise editions of software and licensing.. wrong idea buddy.


side note, i got my email after THREE courses and ordered my studios standard for 10.07, nebraska.

I get calls from MS all the time. They want to ask a bunch of questions all leading to...you guessed it...a sales pitch.

It happened because I registered at their zero day event and all over their Events website. No big deal. Just don't call them back :)

FYI - I got my e-mail a few weeks after I took the courses. I ordered on Wednesday(?) and it cost me a grand total of 10.53 to Phoenix.

Yeah, just do the VB stuff for now to get the software. If you're interested in C# webcasts, there are a lot of them. Just search the MS Events website. e.g.

can you still get the software? Last I checked, all the labcasts were done or closed. They only have on-demand viewing.

I did the on-demand courses and still got in. The only real requirment is that you fill out the survey at the end.
 
How does the Standard Edition vary from the Express Edition you can download for free always?
 
Got mine last weekend. Kind of pain to install in Vista. It takes forever along with the required servicepacks.

Time to learn C/C++!
