Once I managed the cables in my PC, and since then the temps on my CPU have never been the same - about 3-5 degrees higher.

And now I have done a pretty decent cable management job and installed a 92 Xilence fan onto the side, but now my CPU idles at about 43-45 and the load temps get to 50, and it's all at stock speeds!

But when I take the side off, the temps drop by about 5 degrees - and that's without the sidefan...

Picture of my wires... sorry for the quality - phone.

Please help me as I have no clue on what's causing the temp rise...

your wires... also check and make sure your airflow is right remember the fans exhaust side is the side with the bars in front the fins of the fan

usually its front case fan is intake side is intake and read is exhaust..

so for front fan the bars should be on the mother board side not the front panel side
rear is to the rear panel side not toward the motherboard.

when cleaning your wiring its always best to routes wires under the motherboard and/or behind the motherboard tray wires can be held in tightly with zip ties or electrical tape.

a good wiring job can take up to a good 2-4 hours for beginners so take time off of play those addicting games and web surfing and take the time your not in a hurry your looking for best results putting wires in the middle of the case of on the 5.25 and 3.5 racks will not help at all

also with that zalman hsf make sure the air will be blow to the exhaust fan not to the front of the case!

I have not changed the postitions of any case fans - so they are just the way they were all the time.

And the air from the Zalman is going outwards.

I will also try to put my wires behind the mobo - but my case is not veery big so it may take some doing...

Thanks for the help!

if you need ideas on how the wiring goes just looks in the case section and goto gallery then there should be a rate my cables thread theres probably every user here on [H] with pics in theiron how it should be done

Well after almost 2 painstaking hours I have tightened up all the cables and put some of them in different places. It looks a bit neater, but I still I need to see some temps before concluding.
