Belgium is once again allowing Google to list the country’s newspapers on its search engine. The only exception is that Google users will not be able to access stored versions of older content that the newspapers want to charge for.

In February, Google Inc. lost a lawsuit filed by the newspapers that forced it to remove headlines and links to news stories posted on its Google News service and stored in its search engine's cache without the copyright owners' permission. Google had earlier removed all reference to the newspapers to avoid legal trouble.

Step 1) Stick your head far enough up your ass that you think people care about your newspaper.
Step 2) Charge for your newspaper.
Step 3) Attack Google for sending people to your website.
Step 4) Your visitors plummet when Google stops linking to you.
Step 5) Realization that the only reason anyone ever visited your horrid website is because of free advertising by Google.
Step 6) "Allow" Google to resume linking to your website.

Or would this tip their hand at how much they are going to charge ISPs once network neutrality is destroyed.

Wumpus
