Dell 2007WFP Rev04 arrived! IPS?

After 6 months of lurking this forum, I have finally purchased and received the LCD monitor I personally feel best suited my needs.

Now, the most famous question, how do I check if it's IPS panel or not?
 
Do you guys have any suggestions on some sort of tweaks I can make to the monitor? Is the CD that came in the box useful for anything?
 
i just got mine up here in canada. it's s-ips.

anyone recommend what brightness/contrast settings? using dvi with nvidia 7950gt. not sure how to calibrate the color/blacks.
 
You didn't even comment on how the screen looks; just went straight to the s-ips hardware question; now that's a tech. nerd. ;)

The whole time it was on my mind if I was going to get a S-IPS panel or not, nothing else was important to me!

An update though, out of the box, I have yet to find a dead/stuck pixel, I can't see any visible back light bleeding (I see shades, not over the entire monitor, only in patchy areas [kind of like a big blob on the screen] of purple/orange, kind of like a hue, depending on what angle I look at the monitor while it is displaying black).

Everything is fine with the monitor as far as I can tell. Can anyone recommend some testing methods to me? I haven't purchased a monitor in over 7 years, so i'm a bit out of a loop of what I should do to test.
 
A04 all seems to be S-IPS so far, mine is a A04 and it's a S-IPS. I believe the lottery is now over, hopefully.
