facebook looks blue not violet.
Same here with the X2775HDS ....
Same Panel i think ... shit i dont know wich VA Panel 27" i should buy.. because.. they all have the same Panel... and if i use IPS.. i have a higher resolution, price and lower contrast....
To fix the violet problem.. make a color profile and only use software who can use this profile... photoshop, firefox, windows photo viewer (not in fullscreen mode)...
Then blue will look blue
Its a Problem with the Panel and LED Backlight, the Panels dont have a accurate sRGB spectrum.
Ich hätte zu gerne einen brauchbaren 27" ... am besten cPVA ^^
Tokie, you said you use the "faster" overdrive setting. May i ask why you don't use the "fastest" setting? I do notice it helps to reduce ghosting significantly.
Hi tokie (and to other users of S24A650 and S27A650 as well), could you comment on some aspects regarding this model:
- are the default colors right (do they look natural, balanced and vivid) ? Is there significant black crushing (loss of dark details) by default ? If these problems are present, can they be corrected through calibration ?
- how would you compare the image of this model (24 or 27") with the image of the F2380MX or EW2420 (in terms of colors, blacks, dark details and contrast) ?
- is there significant ghosting or color streaking in very fast movie and TV scenes ? How would you rate its motion performance against other VA and also IPS monitors ?
Thanks for the input
Thanks for the info Crakso. I guess then the 650 is fast enough for multimedia.
I'm still curious about the dark (near black) details, since some VAs tend to have black crush. Is this a problem with this model, in dark scenes with near black details ? Compared to other VAs and especially IPSs.
I would. I'm buying this specifically for multimedia (photo + video) so dark details are important. Even if the first square is not visible, what about the second ? Or third ? If anyone takes the test, be sure you look at the intended square straight on and not from an angle, since otherwise the gamma shift could render the result less relevant.I would not feel to bad if the darkest woul not. My TN show all of 'em and rather too clearly. Dark detail looks crap even if it shows it. I'd rather take black crush instead...
I haven't noticed any black crush. I can't compare it to other *VAs, because the only other one I owned was the F2380MX which didn't have black crush either.
This monitor will hopefully hold me off until I can get a 55" plasma for watching media. It's still going good and I'm pleased I chose the SA650 over IPS panels.
I have the F23820MX and have read PRAD's 650 review, performance is very similar except for the response times since they didn't measure the F2380's with their current equipment. However, PRAD did measure the BenQ's (which were marginally better than the F2380's) and the new Samsungs are a bit faster. The 650's, like the BenQ's have the advantage in terms of screen coating since they use semi-glossy coating vs light anti-glare on the f2380's.
Can you please tell me how does the picture look compared to F2380MX? I almost bought the F2380MX because i like it's picture very much and because i want a monitor with a white finish, but i couldn't decide because im a bit teased by LED, i like the nice whites and brightness of LED backlight and now i can't find the F2380MX anywhere, seems to be sold out.
If it's as good as F2380MX or even better i could buy thisone and do a white paint job on it by my self.
