An absolutely FANTASTIC developing Twitter feed with a growing list of who's who of experts and developers comparing their respective gains using Async Compute! Some highlights below:
It's getting real people!
Thought this was a very interesting interview on the behind the scenes operations at AMD in regards to the new Crimson drivers and the man behind AMD's global view on user experience with the FPS philosophy: Features, Performance, Stability.
Exclusive interview with AMD’s Andrej Zdravkovic...

Came across this tidbit of information about Crossfire posted on gpuopen.com :
AMD Crossfire API – GPUOpen
While not many people who come here may code, it's still a great read. For those so inclined there's even some sample code if you want to try your hand at programming some basic...
Yes, Marketing! Good news for AMD, and I'm sure quite a the challenge for Mrs. Pirritano!
OC3D :: Article :: Leslie Pirritano moves from Nvidia to AMD :: Leslie Pirritano moves from Nvidia to AMD after 13 years of employment
Edit: 13 year veteran!
Per wccftech Apple is going full Polaris on their next refresh :
AMD Radeon 400 Series Polaris GPUs Land Major Apple Design Wins - Perf Per Watt & Perf Per Dollar Strides Pay Off
Apple strives for low power, so Polaris does make sense. Might be why AMD is going full production on Polaris...
I'm curious, so I figure I'll ask here. I've been searching for the lightest Gaming mouse I can find that has both extra finger buttons and at least 1 thumb button.
So far the closest I could find was the Logitech G300s which is very light, but lacks a thumb button. The Roccat Tyon has...
This is actually not just the audiobook version of the 7 book Demon Wars series, it is the Graphic Audio version with a Full Cast, background audio ambiance sounds, and musical score.
Pay what you want gets you the first 2 books.

Pppfffttt... Canadian government was way ahead of the encryption media circus with backdoor access to BBM since 2010!
The RCMP has had backdoor access to BBM since at least 2010 | MobileSyrup.com
So much for that, not that it matters much anymore.
Edit: That was 6 years ago, imagine what...
Very interesting read over at TechReport about a new feature AMD is introducing with these drivers QRQ which works hand-in-hand with Async! Basically more flexibility and making the ACE units not only able to operate out-of-order, but also user programmable!
It was built for VR, but I can see...
Well... This one came out of left field IMO.
Watchdogs 2 to be AMD Optimized
Ubi$oft are very, very good at getting government funding to sponsor their studios and getting nvidia to sponsor their individual game titles (if not directly sponsored, then through their Gameworks program)...
At this point might as well wait for the GOTY edition/collection. If you can't, $9 gets you the base game TW: Attila at this point.

Total War: Attila
I know we've been reading about all the great pioneering work the Oxide Developers have been doing with DX12, asynchronous cores and Multi-Adapter code.
But I was impressed when I read this straight from the developers on STEAM :
Mellified Man [developer] 2 hours ago
Ashes of the...
I really like my iPad Pro, but I didn't expect it to outsell Microsoft's ENTIRE Surface line of products by itself!
https://m.idc.com//pressRelease/prUS40990116
And a good writeup by Hexus ...
Maybe it already exists (would be nice), but is there a way to turn off pictures using the mobile version of the forums? I use it to save bandwidth on my phone and stay away from threads likely to have large pictures, but get caught with huge pictures once in a while killing mobile bandwidth...

Don't read WCCF often, here is some interesting bit news...
Looks like Nvidia decided it didn't like the way Stardock is developing their game and talk publicly about it, and are probably breaking NDA in the process of publicly bashing them ...
I'm curious if anybody here has some firsthand experience with the Apex M800 keyboard for both gaming and typing? I can't find any to try firsthand myself and am curious about the type of switch they use. Also haven't found many reviews on this keyboard, and none I'd consider very useful...
I've been hearing here and there about the challenges of developing for VR and was looking up some information; some of which I though could be of some interest here. It's sad, but interesting in that it's a free-for-all and a huge mess, so far.
Extremetech had a pretty good article about it...
Yup, VP Roy Talor went on record (again) saying no proprietary tech in AMD Gaming Evolved Titles. "I promise we won't. We do not push proprietary stds."

Reading through some threads I see more than a few people still do not understand the difference between DX12 Tiers and Feature Levels. The amount of clickbait sites and rumors further spread disinformation.

Interesting news on the FirePRO professional sides of graphics :

IMO the W9100 looks ideally suited for 4K movie editing with 16GB vram, six 4K screens, and wife 512 bus. Looks like a good step in the right direction.
This is interesting, especially considering all the GDC leaks lately!...

Lots of absolutely GREAT possibilities if this comes to pass.
Vendor lockout I guess is still possible. Technically this would be quite complex...

Don't read mac rumours very often, but I stumbled onto an interesting read about the rumors of the next iMacs may have 5K Displays & AMD Graphics, which follows the Mac Pros.
It's a lot of pixels to push out of the gate, curious to see how well this will work and what AMD will bring to the table!
Have to admit, Lichdom Battlemage took me by surprise. These devs seem to have Triple 4K Eyefinity working on Lichdom Battlemage with TressFX & Crossfire on Cryengine. No Mantle (yet?), but can't wait to see the developers finish this game.
I haven't seen this posted here, so far this looks...
Just a heads up in case you didn't try it out yet.
AMD is giving away Beta keys for Elder Scrolls online this weekend through their Gaming Evolved app!

I find it very interesting that Microsoft went through the trouble to state their position in regards to the Xbox API which is basically at odds with AMD's mantle on a "political" level, if not technical.
While Sony seems to have a more "Open" attitude (couldn't resist), even going as far as...
