Microsft's blog and Sony's presence at AMD's Developer Conference

I find it very interesting that Microsoft went through the trouble to state their position in regards to the Xbox API which is basically at odds with AMD's mantle on a "political" level, if not technical.

While Sony seems to have a more "Open" attitude (couldn't resist), even going as far as having Mr. Dominic Mallinson, vice president, Research & Development, Sony Computer Entertainment America giving a keynote speech at AMD's Developer Conference.

I find the apparent differences in market approach quite interesting... just food for thought, and maybe discussion...
