Then the companies would just move their "headquarters" out of the country. As an example of this kind of effect, just notice how many ships are registered in Panama.
He didn't just say they were 30% faster, he said they 30% faster using 3DMark as a benchmarking tool. Kyle asked for the specs and the test data and the guy essentially said "trust me".
And since when is a number not quantitative?
I went from 81 fps in CS:S stress test to 61 fps. I ran it three times on each just to be sure. It also had some seemingly random jerkiness in places with 7.7
Kind of weird. It debuted on Newegg at $106, then it went out of stock with an expected stock date of 7/23. Then it disappeared from the site entirely. Then it reappeared yesterday A.M. at the $106 price in stock, now the price has been raised. I can only guess that they figure demand is so...
I think that is a misunderstanding. According to many posts over at AVS, it works fine on XP. I think what was meant here was that the drivers do not currently work for the 64-bit version of Vista, not that it doesn't work on XP.
If you're talking about the use of the word "credit" in the e-mail they send you after testing your card, it means they are going to replace your card. Been there, done that.
Make sure when upping the frequency in clockgen to only click the increase arrow only 2-3times. I have a K8NE and I had to take very small bites to avoid lockup. I eventually made it to ~277MHz. I have the same processor as well.
Is it possible you accidentally selected the chipset drivers in DC and deleted them, causing your other issues? In DC, you only need to select "NVidia" and not "NForce" IIRC. And it is best to do it from safe mode. Also, if it is possible to set the integrated to "disabled" rather than "Auto"...
I'm not sure about "quite apparent", as this was certainly not my experience. The guys I talked to on the phone were very helpful and seemed to be trying very hard to accommodate my requests.
I know. It was just that several people have acted like this is a Fedex problem. I was just using your example to point out that it is a general problem.
Just so that everybody notes the story two posts up -- UPS does the same thing. Unless a signature is specifically requested by the shipper, either company will just leave it at the door.
The best thing to do to avoid all of this is to make sure you can have it delivered to someplace where...
Really? Have you seen where someone has received a card with the same serial number as someone else sent in? I'd like to see that picture. This claim seems a bit dubious.
I had back-to-back RMAs with XFX, and the second was only because they agreed to swap the replacement card they sent me...
My experience sort of goes both ways. I sent my original card in a while back now. I got a receipt confirmation email a few hours after Fedex said it was delivered. They tested it and shipped a replacement card withing about two days of reipt of the bad card. The replacement they sent me was...
Check your CPU temps in the BIOS monitoring section. I had an experience like this once and it turned out the HSF was not seated properly (the clip was installed backwards at the factory, putting the pressure in the wrong place). I returned one MB thinking it was bad before I figured it out...
It's the card. My card recently went bad in a similar but worse manner. It started by locking up a game I was playing, then after rebooting a couple of times, it started showing dots at the BIOS screen and streaks when the Windows splashscreen came up. Eventually it would not boot into...
I've never tried that, but you should be able to. I have run VGA and DVI off of the same card to my 2005FPW and can flip back and forth between them (I was trying to compare picture quality). SInce you can PIP using S-video, you should be able to do what you are suggesting.
IIRC, the only combination it cannot do is VGA+DVI in PIP or side-by-side-mode. But even then you can hook them up simultaneously and flip back and forth with the input selector.
Monarch lists it as the -KND, but the pictures on their site of the package contents seems to indicate it is the same thing Newegg is selling as the -KNDD3. Toss in shipping, and Monarch becomes only $4 cheaper than Newegg. Doesn't seem that big a deal to me.

My brother has an old 37" Mitsubishi CRT monitor. It was for industrial use and weighs like 300 lbs. I htink you can still find them now and again on Ebay.

Yeah, I even tried using powerstrip to play with the pixel clock to see if it was a timing issue. All efforts had no effect. I hooked it up to the old monitor and booted it up, I get the BIOS screen with a ton of artifacts that look like a bunch of horizontal red lines, then after a second it...
I posted this up to a couple of other places with no results, so I figured I'd try here.
I recently received a new Dell 2005FPW. My previous monitor was a 17" Hitachi LCD panel. My 'normal' setup has been that I have my monitor hooked up to the VGA port on my Radeon 9500 pro and run my...
I have seen this happen on a few Dell FPs even when I know the resolution/refresh was correct. I fixed it by cycling the inputs on the monitor without rebooting the computer. This appears to force the input having problems to rescan. Once I did that, it booted up properly every time after...
If you look closely at your account, you will probably notice that the purchaser is marked as 'exchange' or some such. You will not be actually billed for it. The same thing was on mine.

In their defense, the manufacturer's website also had it tagged as a 6800GT chip. Both websites corrected themselves about the same time. Newegg was only listing what the manufacturer was telling them.

Maybe it has something to do with the tuner connection to the monitor. I used my Fusion II to watch some the OTA feed of the NASCAR race yesterday and my new 2005FPW looked fantastic.
