According to the Zalman Website for the MFC1 Plus, this can handle 7 Watts per channel.

I am planning to link 3 Yate Loons into one 3 pin. These will be mounted on a PA 120.3 or a MCR320. Can I connect this one 3 pin into one of the ports of this fan controller? Is it too much of a load?

EDIT: After reading your question again, my answer would now be, "Yes, you can connect that many with no problem whatsoever" END EDIT

This is Alabama math, so you might wanna re-check it, but it sure makes sense to me.

7 watts per channel and Yate Loon fans are rated at 1.8 watts. So that's approximately 3.9 fans per channel. I got the YL fan rating here:

Some fans are rated in amps, and others in watts. Since you mentioned 7 watts per channel, I just googled YL watts and that's the one that popped up.

If you're ever in the market for another fan controller, or anybody else reading this, I'd recommend the Sunbeam Rheobus. It's 20 watts per channel so 11 fans per channel max, 44 fans total whereas yours is 23.

Not that anyone would probably ever need to run that many fans, but I'd imagine that the less strain it is on the electronics, then the less heat that is produced thus increasing the lifespan of the product.

I actually just found the Sunbeam Rheobus on performance-pc.com.

They make have the 4 fan controller and the newer 6 fan controller. It's a steep jump in price from the 4 to 6 fan, but if you're starved for bays (which I may be), the price differential may be worth it.

The Sunbeam may be the ticket.
