Zalman CNPS9500 Question

I was wondering... If I were to hook this fan up without using the supplied fan controller, would the fan run full speed all the time?

no, you can control it using software like smartguardian.

Well, I just wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any problems if I hooked it up like that.

There is a Zalman 9500 AT for Intel's LGA775 stocket that has 4 pins so its kinda temp controlled.

Any recommendations for a Windows XP build? Latest version of Smart Guardian that I could find was for 2k.

Then either plug it directly into a fan header or... use the supplied fan controller.

Nothing wrong with the fan controller.
