Just a quick question: Can you get into trouble if you take clips from dvd's and post to youtube? These are my dvd's btw.
 
If it's copyrighted material, it would be illegal for you to share it, regardless of whether or not you own the DVDs.

youtube has cut licensing deals with a number of copyright holders. That said, a ton of stuff on their site is not legit, but they operate under the "safe harbor" aspect of the DMCA.

Basically, they are not held accountable for what is posted by users but are obligated to remove any infringing material at the copyright holder's request.
