A lot of people are wondering why YouTube hasn’t enacted some form of spam filtering at this point.

Google's video sharing site still hasn't instituted as much as a captcha requirement in order to send a message through its service, something that even MySpace did only last week. If the proliferation of spam blogs on Google's Blogspot is any indication it may be a long time before YouTube does anything about spam emails driving users back to their site.

Users can flag stuff as spam as of about a month ago. I think it takes a few times or a certain percentage before it automatically hides the comment and flags it as spam.

It has gotten bad recently, particularly in certain areas, but I'm sure it will spread to all areas eventually. Maybe it will draw away some of the email spamming companies.

Pass this message on to 10 friends or you will have bad luck until you die and then die a painful death over and over every hour in HELL!

:D

Not like the actual real comments are any better.

I dont really know how to say this... Im sure other people have seen youtube comments, but I honestly did not beleive there were that many *extremely* racist, stupid people in this world... I had no idea... I mean, I knew they were out there... Occasionaly seeing one or two on the internets... But wow, just... wow.

Youtube has also started using a system like Digg, where individual comments can be voted up or down. Though, its useless. The other problems, is the tags for videos. People put a few pages of random words in there, and none of them have anything to do with that video. Spam/idiotic comments, spammed video tags... Sigh.

I don't think there are as many racist people. I think most of them are just spouting crap for no reason.

YEa, i dont think that everyone is necessarily racist, just stupid. Stupid enough to act racist.
