So I am reading all these threads and it can be confusing. Not in the wording, but with all the items and what each item specifications. Good stuff though!!!!!

I use my system primarily for gaming (BF2142, Modern Warefare 2, L4D,etc) and I play it on this;

Core I7 920 D0
Asus P6T Deluxe V2
Hard Drives are SATA only, not RAID'd
Monitor is a Dell 1907fp
GPU is EVGA GTX 260 (with two DVI ports)

To me gaming has been fun, but all this stuff I am reading is getting in my blood. So I want to get into playing on 2 monitors. My desk is a bit small (only 48" wide) so I figured I can go as high as 2 24" monitors. 19" is my minimum. What say all of you? Add more Dell monitors? Go for Samsung Sync Master? Or go for others like Hanns G?:D

Those seem pretty nice. Any issues with the black on them? I will put these in my "toolbox"

I don't think gaming on 2 monitors is a good idea. You will have the bezels of the 2 screens directly in the center of your FOV. HUD elements like your crosshair, and anything in the center will be split in two between the 2 screens. Best to go with a 30" or one of the new 27" 16:9 displays coming out (like the U2711 from Dell).

You could also try 3 monitors in portrait, but atm this requires Eyefinity which would require a switch to an ATi HD5000 series card.

I saw that Dell U2711, very nice. I thought about that, the bezel right down the middle. Maybe I will use the dual monitors on my work system, can't stand minimizing one program to read my e-mails or having to make spreadsheets from different sources and going back and forth is a pain. Climbing the ladder means more reports to consolidate.

The more I think about it, two for work is better and 1 monstrous 30" sounds right for me. Thanks

Not sure yet, but I like bells and whistles. Just as long as I use them. And i do not like those shiny bezels either, I have a T.V. like that, made watching movies a pain because of the reflectiveness.

Seems like Dell monitors and Samsung keep popping up in the threads. My opinion and mine alone, I use to get Viewsonic, but then i got some Dells and they worked really good. I liked the idea of having USB on the sides of the monitor so I can plug in my video can and/or thumb drive. My new case has them on top and set back, good knows how I hate those things sticking out right at you and then you run in to them. So the side is great.

The Hanns' are pretty expensive so I don't know yet if I'll go that way. But I read they are good too.
