Usually have improved thier cards over time. I have bought sound blaster before awe 32 <lol> was odd seeing ram slots for 30 pin ram lol. Just have to wait...

I wonder if upper models had problem getting the xram <lol>.

Just unusual Creative was late getting product that was years in the making so late.

Yes, I did check Creative Store awhile back but I not going to pay fees to get the product across the border because you don't save any money doing so.

im sorry, i fail to see a reason for complaint other than the fact that it's creative we're talking about....

best buy seems to have an exclusive right now, but amazon is showing that they ship in 4-5 days (see here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...21033-8433645?v=glance&s=electronics&n=507846)

creative did a paper launch of the technology, not the actual card. they never gave a release date that i saw and now they have a product out thay may be too high priced, but by no means is it as difficult as say finding one of the newer graphics boards when they're launched.

anyway...can we go back to talking about the X-fi? I'd personally like to hear more about people's experiences with them.

Creative did a pre-launch of the technology (but announced an actual ship date in the September issue of MaximumPC: August 21st). The initial exclusive is to Best Buy (also as stated in the same issue). However, because of the BB exclusive, the cards are easier to find than the initial launch of the Audigy 2 ZS was. (In fact, several local BB stores started selling the cards a day early.) The pricing is no different than the initial pricing for the Audigy 2 ZS. Low demand for the X-RAM-equipped models makes a great deal of sense (after all, a grand total of *one* game title actually makes use of it), and, again, is no different from the initial launch of the ZS. (In fact, if BF2 wins Game Of The Year, I would not be in the least surprised to see it included with the Fatal1ty FPS as a pack-in game.)
