Dont mean to drag the same question up. I did first use the search option and Im still in the red. Im adding either a dual or single 120mm rad to the front of my lian pc65(depending on the pump i go with). I know when it comes down to it, everyone is reccomending a heatcore. I am shooting for the "stock" look. So I would prefer to buy a nice lookin rad from a company rather then a heatcore. With that said, I have also searched for reviews but havent been able to come up with any real head to head reviews. Does anyone know the reallife performance differences in different companies rads. For isntance the danger den black ice extreme and the innovatek 120mm rad. Is it just a matter of preference or are the actual gains of one from the other?

Thanks for any input

Where do you plan to place the thing if you're going for the 'stock' look? Remove the lower drive tray and place it there? Or attach it at the top and cut a blowhole (which is what i did, and i thinik is the best way to go about it). If you want to put it in the top (between the 5.25 extension things) a 120mm heatercore will fit perfectly. In fact, my chevette heatercore ('86) fits snugly in there, and i attached some wire ties to secure it, but i don't even think they're necessary. I'd go with the chevette style heatercore (many online stores sell them, i think dtek's 120 is a chevette).

I plan on mounting the unit to the front of my case. That is where size comes into effect. I would also like to mount the pump upside down on the bottom of the 5.25 bays, keeping it inline with the rad. I will def have to modify the bay tray for both to fit up front but that it what I would like.

Ill take another look at dteks rad. Do you know any head to head reviews? No matter what the rads in the reviews are.

thanks vtoe

are you going to have the air come through the punched out grills? I know yo'ure going for the stock look, but that's pretty minimal airflow...

As far as head to head reviews, i do not know any off the top of my head... i might ask around at the procooling.com forums. They've got some great info. I'm a DIY/custom jobbie guy, so i dont really read up on head to head reviews often
