Even though there is a lot of Dell Widescreen talk around here, I just had to go with true blue 2001FP when I decided to trade out one of my 17" ers.

As has been said, I will take the 4:3 + black bars over the new kid who is all but an inch wider anyways!

That is a 2001FP in the center, two of the Dell 17" Ultrasharps on the side, and a standard Dell 17" on top. All three Ultrasharps are pluged in via DVI. The primary card is an XFX Geforce 6800 (Dual DVI). The secondary card is an el-cheapo Newegg special, Powercolor ATI Radeon 7000 (DVI+VGA).

You gotta lose that Sony POS remote. Checkout the Harmony Remotes (now owned by Logitech) for the best universal remotes on the planet bar none. Activity based and programmed through the web. Nothing else like 'em on the planet.

If you need to have a geeky gadget for a remote and don't care about superb functionality, then try a Phillips Pronto with a full color display. Don't come back here until you can explain what a discreet code is either.

Oh, by the way, nice monitors. I think I'm gonna do a panoramic of my desk at home someday soon. You've inspired me.

Nice setup!!! ...yea... those 2001's are sweet. .. and after receiving my 2nd 2005 yesterday, I started wishing I would have bought a 2001. Then I would have one of each and ready for any occasion. I am finding working with AutoCAD is still nicer at work with my 4:3 screen at work then it is with the 16:9 at home.

O well... I still grin ear to ear with my new toys tho ... :D
