Sorry - I'd imagine the hardware advice questions as they pertain to D3 are getting old, so here goes...
I have a P1.7 w/ 256 RAMBUS and GeForce ti500. I have another 256 memory on the way based on Doom requirements. It's becoming clear that I should likely upgrade my video card as well. I'm not willing to shell out $400+ for latest and greatest... I have to imagine CPU would then be bottleneck if I went down that path.

Can anyone suggest a decent last generation card - I'm thinking $200ish - that would help this system out? I've been surprised at the lack of last generation cards available from retailers... Maybe I'm missing something. I've always been a nVidia guy buy it am open to any advice.

Many thanks for any suggestions

Various places have ATI 9800 PROs around for $170-$200 or so. Newegg had one last time I checked.

Yeah, a 9800 Pro is the way to go for about $200 . Make sure you get the 256-bit version though.
