Hey guys, Yet another thread on the board about building a pc for a friend,

http://secure.newegg.com/app/WishHistoryReview.asp?position=HISTORY&submit=VIEW&ID=1466873

this is what I have started looking at to build. I haven't really read reviews and/or been into pc's because of my lack of time so I need to know what is newer technology and how i can cut corners on price on there. my friend is using this only for gaming, EQ2, BF2, ETc etc

Thanks,

Jew

Good picks, but I'd switch the RAM for Kingston ValueRAM for some major savings and no performance drop; and change the PSU to an Antec True380 or 430 for MUCH Quieter operation and more stable rails. NEC's 3250A is a more advisable optical drive right now, too. Enjoy the machine. :)

id get some twinmos sp's or muskin blue that has 2-3-3 timings. they are utt or bh-5 and can overclock like mad on that board, cause they love volts, and that board can give em, up for 4.0 of em infact. and for his sake, get a better psu, that ones not too great, as Tt isnt too great, check out forton or pc p&c. they will cost you more, but in the end hell be happy you did it for him.
