I'm ordering my evga 6800 tonight, but had a quick question. Two actually. Newegg lists the ramdac speed at 700mhz. Which would be 350x2 right? Well, on evga's website the card is rated at 400. Which would be 800 total right? Also, I read (here I think) the 6800 only has 12 pipelines instead of 16, like the gt and the ultra. On the specs of the card at Newegg it says it has 16. Who should I trust? whats right and whats wrong? Either way, I'm still ordering it. Would just like to know.

Anyone have this exact card? What kind of overclock have you been able to obtain?

the 700 is the memory not the ramdac. all the 6800 are 400mhz ramdac this is not core speed or memory speed.


Do a google seach on what Ramdac means

PS the Ultra has core speed of 400 as well so thats were the conufsion lies

Ordered just now. These are now 293.99 at Newegg.
Anyone overclock one of these? What kind of numbers can ya get?
 
Go to video cards, then on the drop down menu on the left, under chipset, go all the way to the bottom. You'll see 6800 and 6800gt. I don't know why they didn't put them with the 6800 ultra right under the FX cards.
 
PNY didn't install all of the core heatsink screws and the core fried. Simple as that. They screwed me and i will never use one of their products again. They absolutely refused to give me my money back even though the problem happened within 3 days of having it. So i will sell it on Ebay and get my money that way. When it worked, it pwned.
 
Ok EVGA 6800NU's are stock of 325/700. Memory is DDR1. It has dual 400 ramdacs, and comes with 5 cd version of Far Cry. Its a pretty decent card, but unless you have the horses to drive the card, ita not worth it yet. I am still on a slow barton :p
 
I have a 2700+ for now. I'll be overclocking this. I'm replacing everything in my system except for the processor. Shitty right now. Get this. I still have my old PC1600 2x128 strips of memory, but it has to run at 1:1. So, this memory is running at 333mhz fsb. Can't imagine it'll last too much longer... But I've got a Mushkin Lvl 1 dual pack on the way. yay

Figure a 64bit system will be in order around x-mas time :D Plan on utilizing that step up program from evga as well. Perfect timing too, as my birthday will be coming up in Oct. Ultra extreme edition then for a couple hundred bucks. Can't beat that.
