OK, is there any reason NOT to get this motherboard? My friend wants me to build him a computer from scratch, and he insists that it be Intel-based (tried to talk him into AMD64, but to no avail). I want to leave it so that he has PCIe and a socket 775 processor, that way he will have room to upgrade. I decided on the Intel D915PGN because it had both these, but only used regular DDR instead of DDR2 (keeps the price down a bit). What do you think? Good board or bad board?

Intel's first party boards are always rock stable, but very conservative feature wise. You probably won't have any option to overclock anything and many Intel BIOS don't even allow you to change RAM timings. They are great boards for stability and compatability, but they aren't very tweakable. I owned an Intel D845PBT and it was the best board I had ever owned up until my current Abit, so as long as you know the limitations of Intel BIOS going in, go for it.
