Yate Loon Fan Question

I plan on buying 2 Yate Loon 120mm fans and noticed that they all come with a 3pin & a 4pin connection.
I only want to use the 3pin and was wondering if it would be ok to cut the wires going to the 4pin.

Does anyone know if cutting these wires might render the fan useless?

I do not see why it would IMO. Properly cap them off though.

cutting is fine, just make sure the wire ends don't connect

Or better yet, borrow a crimp, and just recap them.

Just snip them off, that is what I did. Make sure that the cut is flush with the molex.

Yep. Cut em off, but here's a tip...Use nail clippers. You can get RIGHT into the pin almost, so the cut is dead flush with the edge of the housing.

you could also get a molex tool and actually remove the molex connector and remove the wires completely.
