Anybody use Yate Loons in their Antec 900? I just ordered 4 from jab-tech and will be putting them in on Friday. I can't stand the bright LED tri-cools that came stock with the 900 so im ditching them for D12SM-12s.

Update.

I got my fans on friday and took out my old antecs. I was amazed at the quality of the Yate Loons and I am very happy with my purchase. I plugged in a yate loon and one of my tri cools to compare them. The yate loon blew about has hard as my tri cool does on medium and is as quiet as the antec on low.

What im really happy about is getting rid of the tacky blue light. I am pretty minimalistic when it comes to cases and having a case that is as black as murder is nice after a case that screams "hey hey hey!!! LOOK AT ME DAMNIT!!".

edit: Im actually posting from class right now, I will post some pics when I get home.

I would like to see this, as I have the Antec 900 with all stock fans (might replace the rear with a clear non-led tri-cool). How much were they? Do you have them on a controller? Thanks!

I don't have them on a controller. I got them from Jab-Tech.com for under $4 each. They have all 3 speeds available closed or open hole.

btw, pics inc..

If youre going for a minimalistic look, why'd you go for a 900?

I bought it a long time ago when my tastes were a little different. On top of that, I think the cooling is top notch.

Pics are going to have to wait. Wife left my camera at work.

I actually just switched the doors on my 900 to see how much of a sound difference it makes, its not bad, it's nice to have all black on the left side for watching movies, the blue LED's are very distracting. Think I might try to find a better case with better cable management and a more "minimalistic look" like stated above, possibly the antec p18* series.

I just picked up a p183 to replace my 300 and it's a great case, but still comes with tricools. Great cable management, rubber grommets for the hard drive mounts seem to work very well (can't hear my wd 640gb black at all), but it still comes with tri-cools, which aren't that great.

Planning on replacing them with 800rpm scythes in the future which should help with that a lot.
