Couple weeks ago I started a thread asking about the Antec 620 and got some good responses back that turned me off on picking it up but instead going in the direction of a "real" water cooling setup. XSPC seems the way I'm going to go. I've done some general Googling searches on water cooling and while there seems to be some other great companies, and since this would be my first water cooling build I want to go with a "kit" rather than individual pieces. XSPC has a few all in one kits, and I like what I see. The one I'm most interested in is the Rasa 750 RS240. I know it's a smaller two fan radiator setup, but that's the reason I'm posting this thread. I know it's hard to tell by the pictures, but the overall size of the entire thing is very appealing to me. All I plan to cool with it is my CPU, at least to start with. In the future I might decide to cool a GPU with it as well.

Any thoughts and opinions on it?
 
Don't get the old X2O 750 kits - the pump in them is crap. Go with the newer D5 kits.

So more along the lines of this?

They also have a 140mm fan/radiator kits which I'd probably go with over the 120mm. Especially since the HaF X case can easily accommodate it with it's width.

Correct! Those newer kits also come with a better CPU block and res.

As for the 140mm rads, that's definitely a good idea. Surface area is the most significant factor of rad performance. Strangely, testing suggests the Gentle Typhoon 120mm fans are the best fans for a 140mm rad (with an adapter, of course).

Thanks for the feedback. I'll mark it down that when I finally make the plunge, I'll purchase that one, or something very similar. And I'm dumb in this department. What exactly do you mean, "With and adapter, of course". I'll need something to essentially strap those fans onto the radiator?

FrozenCPU sells plastic ducts that let you use a "wrong size" fan on almost any radiator. 140mm fans aren't that common so they're a nice thing to have the option of. Like this:

Something else came to mind. Compared to your high end air cooler how much, if any, more power does a water cooled setup use? The only thing I could see using an excess of power would be the pump that was hooked up before.
 
Well, you'll probably have more total fans, but those only use a couple watts each. The D5 pump uses 24W at max power.

With the current setup I've been looking at I'm thinking it'll only be one more fan, and a pump. So not much in the long run.
