hi everyone, im having problems with my comp and i was wondering if anyone can help me out... i just recently put in a geforce 2 mx video card that i got from my friend... and it replace a hercules 3d prophet. cheap cards i know but its free lol. anyways, windows xp wont recognize my card. i tried to remove they prophet's driver in add/remove programs under control panel. but it won't remove because it says it can't find unistall.dll? or something like that. i tried the drive cleaner and using the steps in the sticky but no dice there either. i've downloaded the driver from nvidia and installed it and no luck. is there anything else i can do short of reformating? just to be clear i followed the steps in the sticky step by step also! any help would be appreciated thanks, seems windows xp just wont recognize it.

P.S. when i turn on my computer it does say nvidia geforce 2 64 mb but when it gets to windows its that generic 800 X 600 screen and under device manager theres no video devices at all . thanks again

sorry for the bump but can anyone help me? or send me a link that get me on my way? thanks
