• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I was just wondering if say I got a vrius while using xp mode can/will that virus move over to my host system?

Assuming you have all the obvious integration features disabled and there are no exploitable security holes in the hypervisor, you run the same risk as if the VM were another machine on your network (depending obviously how your networking is setup) if one were to be compromised.

Throw Windows security essentials on your XP mode VM.

Your VM can get viruses just like your host machine, especially if you are using web apps in it, say such as needing to use IE6.
