XP Home Supports Multiprocessing?

I have heard that XP home does not support more than a single processor, this is listed in many official places...yet I know that it does because I'm doing it. I also have SP2...could this be a little easter egg of SP2 or was this capability just secretly there all along?

It doesn't support dual physical processors. Think in terms of number of sockets on the motherboard.

XP Home only supports one physical processor like djines said. Dual core is only one physical processor which houses two cores. No matter if you have 1 core or 10 you still only have one CPU. Thats why XP Home supports HyperThreading and dual core processors just fine.
