xp goes to sign-on after a period of unuse(sp?)

ok... i'm doing stuff on the computer... i leave for a while and come back and find a screensaver after i move the mouse it askes me to sign it... i don't mind that much... but afterwords i have to restart because for some reason i won't be able to use the internet anymore... how can i keep xp from doing that? much thanks for any help you can give

Check the properties of the screen saver and make sure that its not set to ask for password after use. If this is xp pro you can check the group policy (gpedit.msc) and see if its set to go back o welcome screen after x minutes of inactivity

Uhm, you can change this in the normal screensaver settings. No need to go through the whole group polcy editor thing... You can turn off the option to go back to the welcome screen in the normal screensaver settings.
