XP-120 on P5WD2-E Premium

Anyone used the XP-120 on the Asus P5WD2-E Premium motherboard? I'm wondering if I should cut the corner of the huge chipset heatsink away so it will be mounted properly (heat pipes faceing up so it cools 'right') or if I should just stick it on the way it will fit? I wonder if I'll notice a difference.. Does anyone know of a replacement chipset heatsink thats not as tall? I'm kinda nervous about cutting the stock one incase I have to RMA the board or something.
